I love the Silent Hill F developers for making a story about the role woman are expected to play with respect to marriage and independence. The horrifying part is how Hinako is left with no voice in multiple endings. Not about what path she chooses. Some women do fall in love with the husband they were assigned to marry. That’s okay. But losing your soul in the process isn’t.
Her independent half wants to navigate the world and indulge in her interests rather than be committed to Fox Mask. Which is highly relatable to me, an ace woman who is told ‘you just need to find the right guy’ in almost every conversation concerning marriage/having children.
The best part is that each path is presented as being valid, and I appreciate the neutral take. The world is grey, and every aspect of yourself should be able to live freely. I may get married, never having sex, if I feel it’s right for me. But I want to live without judgement just like Hinako for whatever decision I make.
At my big age I’m somehow still surprised and appalled and scandalized when I’m faced with realities like when you don’t eat you are hungry, and when you don’t sleep you are tired
fanfiction is getting less interaction, people barely reblog anymore, role players are getting pushed out of fandom, ai generated slop winning art contests
A Very Human Moment (Part 1)
if y’all ever want to see a part 2 this better do numbers
And then nothing bad happened for the rest of the episode :) nothing happened :) nothing at all :) everything is fine :)
That’s downright terrifying tbh
I’m thinking this is a sign you shouldn’t have the Amazon Echo in the office to begin with but that’s just me
